How do I place a bid?

Click “Register to Bid” in our website footer, read through our Terms and Conditions, at the bottom of the page click “Register to Bid in our Online Auctions”, fill out form including credit card information and your bidder number will be emailed to you. Note: If you don’t see it shortly, please check your SPAM filter.

Is bidding online only?

Yes

What is the buyer's premium?

15%, which compares favorably to many other online sites who charge anywhere from 18%-20%

Will I receive an "outbid" notification?

Yes, until 12:01am on closing day. To avoid flooding your inbox with emails, it is up to you to manually track your bidding status on closing day.

Does time remaining update automatically?

On closing day, each item will show a static time remaining however, you must manually click “refresh” to update the remaining time.

 

Why can't I log on?

The credit card on file may have expired. Please call our Help Desk line for assistance 804-231-3105, M-F 9-5.

Can I personally inspect an item?

Yes, nearly all sales have a posted preview day for public inspection. See sale for day/time.

Is merchandise condition guaranteed?

No. This is a genuine auction, personal inspection is HIGHLY recommended.

Do you ship?

No. However, most sales include a clickable link for a list of shippers you may contact for pickup and shipping information. It is HIGHLY recommended you contact a shipper BEFORE bidding so you are fully informed of all costs involved. All shipping arrangements are directly arranged between you and the shipper. Ebidlocal is not involved. Please remember shippers must comply with the posted pickup schedule; notify your shipper ASAP if you are the winning bidder.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Yes. You are required to pay sales tax unless the items you’re buying are for resale, in which case you MUST email or fax your Dealer Tax Exempt Form for the state in which the sale is being conducted. If you do not provide a Dealer Tax Exempt Form prior to the close of the sale, sales tax will be automatically charged and you must then apply on your own directly to the state involved for a refund. You must send in a separate/new tax exempt form before the close FOR EACH SALE, declaring those specific purchases are for resale (we do not “keep forms on file.”)
